Depression Grand Challenge

Nelson Freimer, director of the Depression Grand Challenge, was interviewed in a UCLA Newsroom article about findings from a study published in Nature he co-led with researchers from UCLA, in collaboration with Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis; the University of Michigan and 18 other institutions.

The UCLA Depression Grand Challenge launched the Perinatal Mood and Behavior Tracking study, a pilot partnering with the OB/GYN clinic that is part of the UCLA Health System.

Jonathan Flint, MD will present at the 10th annual Emerging Research Speaker Series and reception hosted by UCLA Staff Assembly. His talk, "The Genetic Basis of Depression," will share how his research explores how genes influence behavior.

The UCLA Depression Grand Challenge hosted a TEDxUCLA salon titled "Tackling Depression: Understanding, Preventing, and Treating the World’s Greatest Health Problem."
