STAND system of care highlighted in Forbes

A Forbes post titled “Addressing Mental Health Challenges on College Campuses” showcased the different approaches college campuses are taking to address the ever-increasing student need and demand for mental health services. Such university strategies include implementing digital counseling services, researching student mental health and potential new treatment methods, and reducing stigma by focusing on knowledge barriers that may exist.

UCLA was among the campuses cited for its recognition of the need to deliver better and faster services to campus communities with the Depression Grand Challenge’s Screening and Treatment for Anxiety and Depression (STAND) system of care. STAND allows students to assess whether they are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression and offers immediate treatment options best fit for their needs.
