Depression Grand Challenge Worldwide application submitted to MacArthur Foundation 100&Change

  • September 30, 2016

What would happen if our greatest shared burden were lifted? That’s the vision for Depression Grand Challenge Worldwide. The UCLA Depression Grand Challenge team has partnered with collaborators around the globe to create a solution that provides underserved populations with state-of the-art treatment for depression. The expanded team submitted a proposal to the MacArthur Foundation’s groundbreaking 100&Change competition by the October 3, 2016 deadline. The proposed approach utilizes smartphones and the internet to offer an integrated treatment and technology solution to diagnose, treat and continuously monitor individuals with depression from underserved populations. And importantly the techniques and strategies are customized for each treatment site, taking into account life and cultural experiences. Keep your fingers crossed that we have a chance to take the DGC Worldwide.
